FROM HERE TO TUPELO 2004 REVIEW
From NEW YORK UNDERBELLY
Synergy: A common accord that bonds, an agreement between all parties involved, a fellowship of friends working towards an ultimate goal bridging a union of creativity, talent and enthusiasm. 10 Heads High is not your typical rock band - the fusion that exists between each member of 10 Heads High facilitates a sound that is new, distinct and cutting edge. At the same time, the band has recreated a sound from the past and has given us a new version to reckon with, one with consistency, on the edge, and full of rock & roll flavor that we all will grow to love.
Tommy Kohl, guitarist, Marc Lombardo, lead singer, Brian King, drummer, and Michael Borenstein, bass player blend a variety of influences into their music, and 10 Heads High has also managed to attract attention of local rock radio stations that have requested their participation in their concert productions. The band has also won several unsigned artist contests which have allowed them to open shows for bands like Cheap Trick, Quiet
Riot, the Exies, Enuff Z’nuff and Theory of a Deadman.
(It’s all in the name. 10 Heads High was derived from a VH1 program that showcased modeling agencies and their models. During the program, one model agency spokesperson referred to their models as being “ten heads high,” in other words the best of the best.)
